In celebration of the Human Rights Day on December 10th, 2003, the ARRC is contributing the release of the HRE PACK, New Edition. The ARRC staff is pleased to announce the much-anticipated release of the new HRE PACK. Colloquiums of ARRC educators and writers were held to produce the HRE PACK I, published in 1995, to coincide with the year of the UN Decade for Human Rights Education. This was a major publication of ARRC that responds to a perceived need in the region for materials that can be used by trainers and other educators. The old HRE PACK can be downloaded from www.arrc-hre.com. A regional colloquium of writers and reviewers was held in Changmai, Thailand in 2001. Appreciation of the HRE PACK and their deliberations resulted in the amendment of the HRE PACK, New Edition, published this year. One of the main goals of this HRE PACK, New Edition, is to provide informative, tested activities for teaching human rights education, for both formal and non-formal education audiences. Accompanying the HRE PACK is a teaching video, which shows how the ADIDS Method is used for human rights education and training. We are grateful to people who joined us in making possible our earnest desire to produce an improved edition or our training manual, the HRE PACK, New Edition. Finally, we are very grateful to DANIDA for funding the printing of the HRE PACK, New Edition. For those of you who wish to obtain a complimentary copy, please write to arrc@ksc.th.net and provide your name and mailing address. |
