![]() | Chiang Mai, Thailand - April 1st - 6th, 2001 (December 2001) For five days on April 2001, thirty-two educators from twenty non-governmental organizations in twelve countries met in Chiang Mai for a regional gathering on pedagogy for human rights education. These educators shared, reflected on and synthesized their field experiences. In their usually creative way, experiences were told in various forms - song, dances, plays, drawings and other visual aids. Cultures mixed in the same way as ideas jelled. |

A Report of the Proceedings: Bangkok , Thailand - October 23rd to 27th, 2001 (December 2001) Asia-Pacific Regional Resource Center for Human Rights Education held the first part of its annual training of trainers for Southeast Asia in Bangkok from October 23rd to October 27th, 2001 with the support of DANIDA. For five days, twenty-five participants from the Indochina region met in Bangkok for a regional "Training of Trainers for Peace Building". The main objective of the activity is for the participants to share their experiences, reflect on their needs as a trainer and learn the participatory methodologies or Popular Education as a tool to promote peace building within their communities. |
